Altered Book Project

Un encargo del 'Altered Book Project, un programa de intercambio multi-cultural entre alumnos chilenos y norteamericanos de diseño , para documentar visualmente los alumnos con sus trabajos.
A partir del objeto del libro como fundación esctructural y catalizador conceptual, alumnos respondieron al contenido y contexto de sus libros seleccionados para desarrollar nuevas interpretaciones y sentidos.
El producto visual consiste en retratos fotográficos y video de alumnos de DUOC (Santiago, Chile) con sus libros elegidos al principio del proyecto y alumnos del Northern Virginia Community College (EEUU) con sus obras terminadas. El proyecto fue liderado por las artistas Rebecca Kamen y Lisa Hill.
A commssion for the Altered Book Project, a multi-cultural international exchange design project, to visually document design students from Chile and USA and their artworks.
With books serving as both the structural foundation and conceptual catalyst, students respond to the content and context of their selected books to develop new interpretations as well as new meanings.
The visual output consists of still and video portraits of DUOC design students (Santiago, Chile) at the outset of the project and NOVA students (Virginia, EEUU) with their finished pieces. The project was lead by artists Rebecca Kamen and Lisa Hill.
