Chilectra Participativo

Serie fotográfica participativa con trabajadores de Chilectra para el informe de sustentabilidad anual. Para celebrar el rol energético que tiene la empresa Chilectra en la ciudad, se propuso crear imágenes urbanas de noche donde aparecerán luces dibujadas flotando en el espacio.
Generado con una velocidad de obturación muy lenta, los empleados de Chilectra fueron invitados a ocupar linternas para dibujar palabras y formas en el espacio, ideadas entre la artista fotógrafa Justine Graham y los participantes. En vez de aparecer en las imágenes, los empleados de Chilectra serán los creadores de estas.
El hilo conductor en la serie se crea a través de la mezcla de la técnica fotográfica, la ciudad nocturna como telón de fondo y el ejercicio participativo con los empleados involucrados.
Participatory photographic series with electricity company workers for the end of year sustainability report. To celebrate the energy-related role of Chilectra company in the capital city, YAPO Project proposed to create nocturnal urban images where floating drawings would appear.
Generated through a slow shutter speed, Chilectra employees were invited to use flashlights and cellphones to draw words and shapes in space, developed between the participants and artist Justine Graham. Instead of simply appearing the images, the workers were the creators of the final result.
The common thread throughout the series is created through a mixture of the photographic technique, the nocturnal city as background and the participatory excercise involving the workers.
