YAPO Project encarga su primera serie limitada a los diseñadores gráficos Sergio Ramirez y Pancho Galvez y a la diseñadora textil Carola García, para crear un mapa de Santiago de Chile, ilustrada a mano, en forma de serigrafías, poleras y bolsas. Esta serie surge de una preocupación para imaginar una representación visual de la ciudad que celebra las 34 comunas de forma integral y gráfica.
El resultado ofrece una nueva mirada hacía la ciudad, donde las limites políticos de las comunas determinan la importancia gráfica que va tomando cada comuna. Esta primera edición parte con el mapa general y seis comunas: La Florida, Santiago, Maipú, Peñalolén, Puente Alto y Quinta Normal.
La serie se lanzó en un espacio en restauración en el barrio Lastarria en Enero 2009. El afiche fue vendida exclusivamente en la tienda El Clinic.

YAPO Project commissions its first limited edition series to graphic designers Sergio Ramirez and Pancho Galvez and textil designer Carola García, to create a hand-drawn map of Santiago de Chile, in the form of silk-screen posters, bags, and t-shirts. This series emerges from a preocupation to produce a visual representation of the city which celebrates its 34 boroughs in a holistic and graphic manner.
The results provides a fresh look at the capital, where the political boundaries of the boroughs determine the graphic importance that each borough takes. This first edition begins with the general map of the city and 6 boroughs: La Florida, Santiago, Maipú, Peñalolén, Puente Alto y Quinta Normal.
The launch cocktail-sale took place in a semi-abandoned space in the central neighborhood of Lastarria, in January 2009. The silk-screen prints were exclusively sold in the newspaper The Clinic's store.
